Did you eat in a lot of nice restaurants?
Fine dining is one of the Higham family's hobbies. Not really…actually, our budget was so tight that we were rarely able to eat at restaurants. We simply couldn't afford it. Most of our meals, especially in Europe, were from the grocery store. I think we ate ham or turkey sandwiches, picnic style, nearly every day for 4-1/2 months. Here we are enjoying a fine dining experience in Cappadocia, Turkey

Piranhas for Dinner!
Amazon rainforest, Bolivia
We learned to be very flexible about what we actually ate. In this case we're in the Amazon basin and have just returned from fishing for piranhas, and what we caught is now part of our dinner. Jordan looks especially pleased with his dining options.
